If you wish to send mail to your "resident" camper during her stay, please email the Farm at the address below, and put your daughters' first name into the "subject" line of the email.  I, personally, will download the letter, print it out,and put it on her bunk for her.  Please do not put any attachments in the email, nor pictures.  It takes up lots of room, and many parents are emailing.   Keep emails to a minimum, and only family members please.  Calls to your campers may be made between 5-5:30 on Wednesdays only.  Our program is very busy, and calling the girls from their horses is difficult.

I appreciate your cooperation in this matter of communication.   Reservations for 2013 open on January 2, 2013.  Please sign up as early as you can, as we are only taking 15 maximum in each camp.  If we have 5 riders in a camp, we will run the week.  If we do not sign enough riders to run the camp, parents will be notified in plenty of time to move to another week of riding.  I want everyone to have the week that they want.  Some camps always fill quickly,. 3 forms needed (Medical, Insurance, and Registration) and send them to the Farm along with a deposit for each week of camp signed up for:  440-858-2244    (Candys' cell: 440-812-3488)

Directions to the Can-Do-It Farm have been printed out for you on our Forms Page.   You may use an "oline" direction program, but county roads are sometimes listed as numbers, and not names.   If you have ever been out in the country and looked for signs, you may be smiling by now.  Some roads don't even HAVE signs, and if they do, it may be pointed somewhere other than where they need to be.  Just the way it is in our rural county. So print out my directions, and throw them in the backseat, JUST IN CASE...or call me if you are lost.

DIRECTIONS TO CAN-DO-IT FARM    (print out directions and take with you on your trip to the Farm)

From West:  Take I-90 (480 and 271 also take you to I-90 East)
East towards Erie, Pa.  Follow the signs to I-90 E.  Stay on 90 until you see Rt 11 (Ashtabula, Youngstown).  Exit onto route 11 South (Youngstown) Take Rt 11 south approx. 9 miles to the third exit. (Route 307, Dorset)  Exit 307 and turn right (West) onto 307 towards Jefferson.  The first road you see on your left (south) side, is E. Union Road.  (This should be approx. ½ mile)  Turn left onto E. Union Road, and travel 1.5 miles to the Farm, on your right (west) side of the road.  Look for the wooden fence, jump field, and rings on the right side of the road.  Report to the Tack Shop, located on the Farm for Check-in.  From Airport in Cleveland, Oh., approx. 1.5 hr drive.  45 min. from Mentor/Chardon Area.

From East: Take I-90 West towards Cleveland. As you enter Ashtabula, Ohio County, (just past Pa/Ohio line) take Rt. 11 South towards Youngstown and follow above directions (Approximately 60 min. from Erie, Pa.)

From South: From Youngstown area and south, travel Rt 11 North towards Ashtabula, Ohio.  Watch for exit Route 6, Chardon/Andover exit.(approx. 30-35 miles from Youngstown)When you exit Rt 6, turn left (west). As you travel down the ramp from Rt 11, the first road on your right (north) is East Union Road.  Turn right onto East Union and travel approx. 5.5 miles to the Farm.  The Farm and Tack Shop will be on your left (west) side of the road. Watch for the sign, approx. 45 minutes.

NOTE: From Andover area..take Rt 6 west until you cross over Rt 11.  The first road on your right (north) is E. Union Road.  5.5 miles to Farm. The Farm and Tack Shoppe are on the West side of the Road, and have a wooden fence around the property, with a sign by the roadway.
If you are close to Rt 45 or 46, you may take those routes North to Route 6, then travel East to our road (East Union Road).  We are the first road before you reach Route 11 overpass.  Turn left onto East Union, and go 5.5 miles.  If you become “lost”, please call 440-858-2244 and ask for Norm or Candy.

Please try to arrive as close to “arrival time” as possible.  Resident campers should arrive on Sundays between 2 and 3pm.  (Girl Scout Troops should arrive at 5pm on the day of their program)  This will help us in scheduling activities for the kids. Please do not arrive early, as our counselors have a tight schedule.  Thanks so much !  We look forward to your safe arrival to the Can-Do-It Farm
