news:   New horse has arrived.  Her name is "Daisy", and she is an appaloosa mare.   She is very cute and kind.  She is a "rescue" horse with heaves.  She is doing well on medicine, and is ready to go to work and make our campers and scouts smile this season.   I think everyone will enjoy riding her this summer.

We have a new boarder named "Foxy Lady", and her owners are the best!.  They will be boarding with us at CDI.  We are so happy to have them, along with our other boarders that have been with us for several years.  Please welcome our new guest, and make them feel right at home.   Foxy is a cute dapple-grey mare , about 14 hands tall, and will be going through some special training for the owners.   Everyone will meet her at camp this season.

Our new "Masters' Classes" are doing well.  Everyone is learning lots, and enjoy the "free" 2-hour classes each month.   These classes are for regular students and boarders only, and are announced through our email list of students.

I am signing up those assistants who are interested in helping out with Girl Scout weekends beginning the end of April and going through May.  If you would like to help with these special groups, let me know.   You must be able to tack a horse by yourself, and be of help to our counselors.  Linda P. is our main Girl Scout counselor, and I am looking for one more counselor (18 and over) to assist Linda during the weekends.(this will be a paid position).  You must be available from Friday evening through noon on Sunday. (local adults may come in for teaching on Friday evening, and come back again for each lesson throughout the weekend if they can't stay at the Farm for the duration of a troop.  This will make it easy for an adult to help out a couple of hours during lesson times.     Email me if you are interested in this job.  Younger riders/assistants may also email me if you are interested in helping (no pay for these assistants)
